Maretha completed her degree Bachelor in Optometry in 2007 at the University of the Free State. She later completed a postgraduate diploma in Sport Vision at the University of Johannesburg, Cum Laude. In 2019 she completed her Ophthalmic Assistant Qualification (Level 1 and 2), Cum Laude.

With almost 20 years’ experience in optometry, patients are her passion. She enjoys the multifactorial work at Paarl Eye Centre. Together with our doctors, she loves finding solutions to some difficult cases.

You will find her at the heart of our practice, doing tests and chatting away with patients, both old and new, making them feel like the most important part of her day.
